About Prostate Px

Patients who are diagnosed with prostate cancer and are surgical candidates will benefit from Prostate Px, a new test (ordered at diagnosis) that can provide physicians with objective and actionable information.
Prostate Px is designed to assist physicians as they counsel patients on the range of possible treatment options and the patient’s probability of disease progression. Prostate Px utilizes patient biopsy tissue to provide a unique perspective, enabling more-informed decisions at diagnosis.

At diagnosis, Prostate Px (click to see demo) provides several endpoints which assess disease severity and disease recurrence, including:

  • Px SCORE™
  • Disease Progression (metastasis, progression through androgen deprivation therapy (ADT))
  • Indolent Disease (assessed by favorable pathology)
  • Relative risk of disease (outcome compared to test’s validation cohort)

The power of Prostate Px results from its comprehensive analysis of the cancer tissue obtained from each patient. Clinical data are integrated with an exhaustive analysis of each patient’s cancer using spatial, mathematical analysis of tissue histology and molecular biomarkers, such as androgen receptor, associated with disease progression.

An advanced mathematical approach is applied to a large patient cohort to generate a personalized report that is sent to the physician for discussion with the patient.
