Aureon to sign the Keep Americans Connected pledge. CEO Scott Behn pledges reliable connectivity to support independent telecommunication companies, small businesses and clients during COVID-19 pandemic.

DES MOINES, IOWA – April 16, 2020 – Aureon signs FCC Keep Americans Connected Pledge in response to Ajit Pai, FCC Chairman's, initiative. This pledge aligns with Aureon’s decades-long mission to empower Iowans, keep our rural communities connected and move businesses forward. During these extraordinary and difficult times, Aureon’s commitment to our Clients is unwavering as reliable connectivity is more important than ever.

“We are dedicated to keeping our Clients impacted by COVID-19 connected to what matters most,” says Scott Behn, CEO of Aureon. “As we fight this global pandemic together, it is imperative that our communities maintain their access to information and communication tools. By supporting our Independent Telecommunications Companies, we are proud to join over 700 other companies and organizations committed to this important initiative.”

 Over the next 60 days, Aureon pledges to:

  1. not terminate service to any residential or small business Clients because of their inability to pay their bills due to the disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic;
  2. waive any late fees that any residential or small business Clients incur because of their economic circumstances related to the coronavirus pandemic; and
  3. open its Wi-Fi hotspots to any American who needs them.
